The summer has begun – It is time to play tennis.
Thank you for visiting my yourtennisteam site. You can play tennis even from 3 to 103 years old. Now I tell you Tips Why and How to Play Tennis [8 Easy Reasons]. I think the sky is the only limit, but I want to share you a few reasons. You can add more in the comments, please.
WHY to play tennis
1. Energy and Feeling good
When you play tennis you feel good. They said that people who play tennis are more cheerful, energetic and happier. They love what they do and do what they love.
2. Fresh Air
You get fresh air when you play outside. For example when you are on holiday, there may be by the hotel the tennis court. It is an easy way to get fresh air with different tennis court with the new view. For example I have played tennis in Finland many places, for example in Oulu, by Oulujärvi and Saimaa. And also abroad: Canary Islands, in Tenerife and in Thailand, in Chian Mai. So beautiful places to spend a holiday with fresh air.
It is so rewarding to play one or two hours tennis and after a shower your feeling is so relaxing. It’s amazing and you want to relax with tennis also next time. And still when you are playing it is so relaxing to concentrate only with the game so you forget the other things for a while that might challenge you in your life.
4. Pleasant Company
You have so many choices to play tennis with. For example your family, your neighbor, your workmate, your schoolmate etc. If you want, you can collect for example What’sup group which name is Your or Our Tennis Team. For example, I use it. Only collect first the people who are interested in sports or only tennis. Send a group invitation and book a court to a certain hour or hours. It is easy and simple.
You get social fun also before, during and after the match. And all these benefits from the amateur to the competition level.
5. Physical Exercise
It is so rewarding to get also physical exercise in tennis game. You make quick moves and move fast. It is good to you flexibility and body balance. You sweat, so you lose calories and keep fit. Tennis is both the aerobic and anaerobic sport. You train very variously by playing tennis. It makes also good to you body.
HOW to play tennis
You can practice many ways by yourself. For example, when you are waiting your pair to play or you just want to practice by yourself to get better touch to play. You can go to hit the ball against the wall for a while or you can use ball machines. It improves your hit and timing. You can practise the first serve for many times one after another. You can practise your footwork by running quickly on the court. So you can get better even practicing by yourself.
2. With Your pair
It is a pleasant way to spend your time with your family or friends by playing tennis. You can only play for fun and exercise or with real rules of tennis. They are easy to learn. I tell the rules in my other post. You can go for a picnic or swim after the game. For example, I started this tennis season with playing tennis for two hours in a sunny weather and after sweating with the nice play of tennis we went to swim to the nearest lake for the first time after winter. You can guess the feeling: it was amazing, relaxing and happy.
3. Tennis Doubles
If there are four of you, then you can play doubles. It is twice as fun as only with your pair. In both sides there are two players. The playing area in this game is a little bigger. The lines are in the court. Playing doubles is also absolutely the great way to improve your single game in tennis.
So we have many why and how to play tennis. I love to play it. Especially summer is my favorite tennis time. And summer is the peak season for tennis. There is still not off-season, either.
